I've been trying to blog to you more often and it seems like I blink and another week has flown by. Basically our days consist of you getting up around 6:30am quite hungry. While you have breakfast I usually grab a quick shower and then it's Dad's turn to wash up while I change you and get in some Charlie cuddle time. This morning you acted like you wanted to let loose a giggle... but you held back. I can't wait to hear you let loose!
We finish getting you ready and make up your bottles for Day Care... then pack you up in your carrier, much to your dislike. Your little chin quivers when we start locking the straps and you now pout with your lower lip. Once you are in the car and it's moving, however, things completely change. You love it... and usually within 5 minutes you are asleep. Most often you will continue to sleep even after being taken into day care and Mommy says goodbye for the day. What a sweet little bug. =)
Daddy picks you up every day around 5:30pm and then brings you home. I look forward to seeing you every night as 8 hours is a long time not to hug and kiss my little guy. You typically want to play a bit more and then eat your dinner. Lately you have been going to bed around 7:30pm and sleeping like a CHAMP until around midnight - when you want more food and a change. You then sleep another 3 hours until your 3:30am feeding and then another til 6:30am... when we start the day over.
Just a quick note... whenever you are ready to eat a bit more at midnight so you can sleep til your 6:30am feeding, just go with it. We're behind you 100%. *chuckle*
Love you little bug!

What a week....!
Oh Charlie, I'm so glad you are feeling better! This past Sunday you started having some GI issues and by Monday you were running a 101.5'F fever that got your Mommy and Daddy quite concerned. We took you into the ER on advice of the nurse and you had to have your heel pricked for blood. You took it much better than your Mommy. What a brave little boy you are!
Your fever broke late Monday afternoon and it is now Wednesday and you look so much better. My happy Charlie is back and when you beam your big toothless smile at me it warms my heart in a way I can't explain. So glad you are feeling so much better!
Ahhh.... starting day care. =)

ER Visits are No Fun
Well, little bug, today we found ourselves (and grandma) down at the Emergency Room as you were running a 101.5'F fever and had a bad case of diarrhea. You continue to eat like a champ and aren't deydrated ... but you still are feelign pretty rough. Found out that you do not have RSV nor the flu, but rather just "a virus." Pretty vague, yes?
Brought you home tonight and snuggled on you for a few hours as you rested. You continue to eat well and look so much better tonight then you did this morning. I love you, Charlie. *hugs*

First Day/night of Blogging
Charlie Bug,
I have been meaning to set up a blog and document our days together as a new family for awhile now... but always think I'll get it started "tomorrow." Well, I find myself already losing precious memories so tomorrow is... today. I'll jot down some things as we go along as I'm not sure you'll remember a whole heck of a lot at this stage of the game. Love you, bug!
You turned 2 months old this past weekend. Three months ago we didn't even know you existed! We were matched in October (via our adoption agency, more on that in another blog) and you came along in November... and with the holidays, baby showers and guests stopping by it has been quite the whirl wind this past month!
I see you moving around on the monitor and note that it is time for your feeding... so I'll leave it there for now. I'll check back and write you again tomorrow.
I love you so very, very much.
